User Story

We need a coordinated source of information about the customer's ongoing projects and the date of the last contact.

Use Cases

Use case #1: Initiate follow-up

Roles: Sales rep Peter; John, CEO of customer SuperNet

Preconditions: SuperNet bought and deployed PortaSwitch 7 months ago. The "max contact interval" is defined as 6 months

Use scenario #1.1 Reminder

Scenario:

 

  • System generates an alert for Peter that the date of the last contact with SuperNet was more than 6 months ago
  • Peter tries to schedule a meeting with John at the upcoming show. John agrees but then does not show up
  • Peter receives another reminder next week
  • Peter tries to schedule a conf call, John replies he is traveling and that it is better to talk in a week
  • Peter receives another reminder next week
  • Peter calls John, they talk and Peter finds out SuperNet wants to launch LTE service in Q3
  • Peter updates the "date of last contact" in RT for SuperNet and adds a brief description of LTE project to SuperNet's page on wiki
  • Peter opens a new ticket, assigns app engineer to it and they start working with SuperNet on implementation
  • Peter sells SuperNet upgrade to 2 more billing nodes to accommodate extra capacity
