There are cases when it is more suitable or even required to use domain names instead of plain IP address in SIP signaling. The goal of this project is outline supported uses cases and develop required functionality in case when PortaSIP Cluster is used as target system which provides VoIP service.

Additional Info

We have basic support of domain names in non-clustered PortaSIP but it lacks of consistency in usage and behavior. By-design current PortaSIP Cluster is also capable to handle domain names on level approximately matching to non-clustered PortaSIP.  Our goal instead of repeating current PortaSIP behavior  gather use case where domain name could be used in SIP signaling and provide necessary changes to support these use cases.

Also use cases and design description will be valuable by itself as it can be starting point for proper description of domain names usage in PortaAdmin Guide.
