When CSP's customers use cloud-based platforms like Genesys Cloud or Twilio, these platforms assign unique FQDNs for each customer's call center. Cloud providers frequently rotate and update their underlying IP addresses to maintain their infrastructure, often without notifying. Under the current static IP system, when these IPs change, call authorization of incoming calls to PortaSwitch immediately fails because there is no matching record. For outbound delivery, the requesting CSP currently uses a workaround - an SBC to resolve the destination FQDN and send calls with the customer-specific domain in the SIP Request-URI. The CSP wants PortaSwitch to handle this directly. |
